Catching Up

Well Hello again, blog. I've missed you.
My life has been kind of hectic lately. Lots of homework. But it's not just that.

I have a life.

You know the quote that says something like "You'll never remember the nights you got enough sleep?" I thought about it a lot, and how I wish I hadn't slept so much in Europe. That I had just gone, and done everything, and not worried so much. And I decided to make that my life now.

It really is working for me. I stay up late, hang out with friends, get into adventures. Learn new things. For the first time in as long as I can remember, I'm relaxing in my bed, just doing nothing. Not worrying about homework, or trying to get in touch with someone, or keep up with some responsibility at work. I'm just sitting, thinking about taking a nap, and listening to music. The president's inauguration is in a little bit, and I'll probably go to that. But today is the first day I've gotten to look back and think about how happy I am with how I've decided to live this year.

I know I'm behind on a lot of things- I went to Applefest, finished a book, and made some big life decisions. But right now, I'm only working on moving forward, and I don't want to get stuck trying to go backwards. I definitely don't want it to feel like a chore. So in the meantime, I'm just going to write when I have time.

I believe in living with intention.
