Is a powerful thing.
This is my body, and I'm taking responsibility for it. I'm using food as a medicine and a fuel. I'm using exercise to keep myself healthy. I'm stretching. Getting up early, going to bed on time.
I'm viewing my body as both a tool, and a vessel. You only get one. I may not be able to run miles, but I am stronger than I was, and I'm not afraid to sweat. I'm starting to actually enjoy my workouts, and I love the feeling afterwards.
As a result, this summer I've lost, officially, 15 pounds :)
About 7 of those was extra Italy weight. The rest, just getting trim and healthy. I don't notice much of a difference, really- not visually. But I feel better. I feel good about my commitment, I feel strong and healthy, and I feel capable. I've finally done this. I have proven that it is possible for me to lose weight, in a healthy way, and without going overboard.
I believe in self discipline.
